Solenn DAUDU grew up in a multicultural environment since childhood between Reunion Island and Mauritius. After graduating as an Engineer in urban planning in 2013 in Polytech Tours FR, she completed her training with a Master’s degree in commerce and management for East Asia (University of Lille FR) and a Postmaster’s degree in Communication Tools for the City of Tomorrow (Polytech Lille FR). She was then able to experience Asia and stayed in various countries for exchange semesters and internships:

India, Chennai : Anna University,
Vietnam, Da Nang : Trường Đại học Sư phạm – Đại học Đà Nẵng,
Japan, Tokyo : 東京都立大学 Tōkyō Metropolitan University.

After starting as a Smart city Project Manager, she accumulated several years of experience as Director of International Relations and European Projects in a French engineering school CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur) accredited and member of the CGE (Conférence des Grandes Ecoles), labelled “Bienvenue en France” and chartered Erasmus+.

At the beginning of 2022, she decided to put her international development skills at the service of higher education institutions and students, by creating her own company. In addition to carrying out various missions, she was certified ICEF Trained Agent Councellor (ITAC #1879) and she taught project management in a top 20 French business school in 2022-2023.
She is regularly invited to talk for conferences, panels or webinars about topics such as entrepreneurship, women leadership and mental health.

A few words about Vanillea

Did you know…

…there is a French island in the Indian Ocean, between Madagascar and Mauritius? It’s called “La Réunion”, Reunion Island. Solenn grew up there, in Reunion, in the heart of an environment celebrating multiple cultures mostly from Asia, Europe and Africa.

It was Edmond Albius, a slave from Reunion, who discovered in 1841 a practical technique for pollinating vanilla, which is still used today wherever in the world it is grown.

In English, “vanilla” can mean “plain”. But vanilla is very far from being “plain”! It is a beautiful representation of diversity: it is a flower, a spice, a perfume, a pod, a color…

Vanille/Vanilla is also a word that is pronounced almost the same way in most countries around the world, so it is easy to understand and remember.

Vanillea is Solenn’s way of putting Reunion Island in the spotlight, as well as the multiplicity of cultures.
