About

Who I am

I am Solenn DAUDU, I grew up in a multicultural environment since childhood between Reunion Island and Mauritius. After graduating as an Engineer in urban planning in 2013 in Polytech Tours FR, I completed my training with a Master’s degree in commerce and management for East Asia (University of Lille FR) and a Postmaster’s degree in Communication Tools for the City of Tomorrow (Polytech Lille FR). I was then able to experience Asia and stayed in various countries for exchange semesters and internships:

  • India, Chennai : Anna University,
  • Vietnam, Da Nang : Trường Đại học Sư phạm – Đại học Đà Nẵng,
  • Japan, Tokyo : 東京都立大学 Tōkyō Metropolitan University.

After starting as a Smart city Project Manager, I accumulated several years of experience as Director of International Relations and European Projects in a French engineering school CTI (Commission des Titres d’Ingénieur) accredited and member of the CGE (Conférence des Grandes Ecoles), labelled “Bienvenue en France” and chartered Erasmus+.

At the beginning of 2022, I decided to put my international development skills at the service of higher education institutions and students, by creating my company. In addition to carrying out various missions, I was certified ICEF Trained Agent Councellor (ITAC #1879) and I taught project management in a top 20 French business school in 2022-2023.

My values

With my partners, with the students, with my contacts in general. Transparency, to understand how we each function and to work together in harmony.

Even though there are things I do *for* you, I will do *with* you first and foremost. We will work together, especially at the beginning, to ensure that your needs are taken into account and respected.

When a task is entrusted to me, I want you to have peace of mind – I’ll take care of it. If necessary I will ask you questions, if difficulties I will inform you. See transparency 😉

A few words about Vanillea

Did you know…

…there is a French island in the Indian Ocean, between Madagascar and Mauritius? It’s called “La Réunion”, Reunion Island. I grew up there, in Reunion, in the heart of an environment celebrating multiple cultures mostly from Asia, Europe and Africa.

It was Edmond Albius, a slave from Reunion, who discovered in 1841 a practical technique for pollinating vanilla, which is still used today wherever in the world it is grown.

In English, “vanilla” can mean “plain”. But vanilla is very far from being “plain”! It is for me a beautiful representation of diversity: it is a flower, a spice, a perfume, a pod, a color…

Vanille/Vanilla is also a word that is pronounced almost the same way in most countries around the world, so it is easy to understand and remember.

Vanillea is my way of putting Reunion Island in the spotlight, as well as the multiplicity of cultures.
